Using PASSPORT or MyCare Ohio to cover home care services

Hanson Services is an approved provider for persons receiving home care services under the Passport Waiver or MyCare Ohio.

“The Ohio Medicaid PASSPORT waiver program allows seniors who require a nursing facility level of care to remain living at home, or the home of a family member, and receive care in those locations. Seniors are able to live a higher quality of life, as this program provides them with care services and other benefits to promote independence.” PASSPORT, in Cuyahoga County, is managed by the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging.

“Persons who are dually eligible for Medicaid and Medicare can receive home care services under the MyCare Ohio program. MyCare Ohio is managed by one of five different Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) providing service.”  From: payingforseniorcare.com

Both PASSPORT and MyCare Ohio are administered by the Ohio Department of Medicaid.
